On December3, 2014, Associate Professor Liu Li, Dean of the Department of Business  shared her experience of her recent visit to U.K. with the students from the Department of English and the Department of Business. Professor Liu’s lecture covered many aspects of U.K. with British education and culture in particular.

During thelecture, Ms Liu described what she saw and how she felt about her visit with a touch of humor. Her presentation included many interesting things, ranging from the famous architectures in U.K., tertiary schools to many well-known places of interest. Together with Professor Liu, the students visited the world renowned universities like Cambridge and Oxford Universities, experienced the nature wonders like world-famous Lake Windermere, Stonehenge, and they were carried away by the charm by Scotland and Edinburgh Castle. The report by Professor Liu enabled students to have the first-hand taste of the culture and the humanity that U.K. offers. From the lecture, the students became aware of the point that modern concept and traditional ideas can co-exists harmoniously. Education should be developed in accordance with its law and most important of all, when learning a foreign language, students should make everyendeavorand be patient in its process so as to make headway steadily.

The studentsshowed much interest in her talk and the lecture was followed by an animated interaction between Professor Liu and the students. The presentation was concluded with the thunderous applause from the students.
